Back in 2020, as a hobby project I was working on my second hexapod robot that ran on a Raspberry Pi Zero. At the time I was also a member of the Android OS team at Google, building new software features for Google’s Pixel phones. Then, I thought why not use a phone instead of the Pi Zero, it already has a lot of the sensors and components that I was planning to add, and the software development tools are way more refined and approachable. That is how this journey started.
